Our cat boarding room is on our second floor and away from the sick and hospitalized animals. Our recently re-modeled cat boarding room features new high-tech Shor-Line CAT CONDOS that include "private quarters" compartments for litter pan use and elevated resting areas. Enjoy the peace of mind you get knowing your cat is comfortable and paid attention to during their stay with us.
A note from Dr. Felecia Niebojeski:
Our Boarding room is called Crandon's Kitty Condos and is dedicated to the memory of my first cat Crandon. I adopted Crandon when I was a senior in college. I spent Jan 1975 working as a volunteer at the Crandon Park Zoo, in Key Biscayne Fl. (This zoo eventually grew into the Miami Zoo). Crandon and his sister were found one morning in the barn all curled up in the hay. Sounds nice until I tell you that that hay was in the barn with the rhinoceros! The Rhino was snorting and stamping his feet at these 2 little intruders, who simply froze in their spot. The keeper got the rhino out, and rescued the 3 month old kittens. They kept them at the zoo hospital until they could find homes for them I fell in love with the male, who gave lots of head rubs and purred constantly. I also figured if he could handle a rhino, he could handle college life!
So I brought him home, named him after the place he was found, and for the next 14 years, he was my best buddy. He went through veterinary school with me, and several jobs and homes. He helped me move into my current building in 1988, and then 6 months later died at the age of 14. I always felt he was my guardian angel, and once I was happily settled in my own practice, his job was done, and it was time for him to go. But he lives with us still as the cat you see painted on our reception room wall and as our logo. |
